Personal Training
Do you want to work out but don't want to go to the gym? Do you live or work in central Ottawa? I can come to you for a fitness house call! If an in-person session is not possible, we can schedule online training. Private session options include flexibility training, strength training using your own equipment, an equipment-free cardio workout, or movement coaching.
My goal with one-on-one work is to help you become more movement-focused in your daily life. What do I mean by that? It's more than personal training; it's about teaching your brain and body to work together for better health - so that your body craves movement and you incorporate more non-exercise movement into every day. Every week, I assign exercises for you to complete on your own. In addition to going over them during the sessions, I also email you follow up information. Spending time with a trainer is a key component to improving your fitness, but I ask my clients to make a commitment to meet me halfway, by doing the exercises on their own and working towards incorporating more activity into their day.
