Classes are geared to older adults, people recovering from injury, or people exercising for the first time. The pace is slower than traditional group exercise classes, and the focus is on body awareness and muscle activation.

Class Descriptions

Essentrics Stretch: Essentrics exercises deliberately follow the natural chains of muscles while continuously moving to rebalance the body. The stretch class will improve posture, increase muscle endurance and flexibility, and liberate joints. This class is suitable for individuals of all ages, but has a faster pace than the other classes. This class is 55 minutes long.
Essentrics for Active Aging - Floor or Barre: These classes maintain the principles of elongating the muscles, strengthening while lengthening and not using weights or props. This class is designed for anyone who has atrophy-related stiffness, frozen shoulder, or chronic aches & pains. The class consists of standing exercises and floor or barre exercises. This class is 55 minutes long.
Gentle Essentrics: This relaxed, but dynamic and deep, full-body stretch will work through all the joints and release tight muscles. This class is suitable for anyone beginning to exercise after a long sedentary period. Effective for injury recovery and prevention, pain relief, stress release, and improved balance. The class has a gentle, slow pace, and consists of standing and barre exercises only (no floor work). The class is 30 minutes long and can be delivered to individuals or seniors groups.
